This website is dedicated to my wonderful wife Grace, her health recovery, and her love of
all things musical. She was recently told that she would have to have another surgery to
try and correct the problems with her back. This will be the fourth surgery in 12 months
trying to reach the goal of her living pain free and a return to an active existence. Since November of 2006 she has been in an almost constant state of severe pain and she could really use a break. I’ve
planned on sitting down and working out the details for her own website for quite some time
but it took the news of her upcoming surgery for me to realize that now was the time for action.
You can click the Words of Encouragement link to drop her a “Get Well Soon” or comment on her
music, the Gallery link will take you to a few pictures with more being added soon, the Music
link directs you to a player filled with some of my wife’s original songs, click the Donate
link to read more about my wife’s back problems or to help with the exorbitant medical costs, and finally
the Contact Me page for additional information on how to contact us.
I want to thank Grace’s cousin Brandy for all her hard work building the site, our family
and friends for their help and caring, and finally the visitors to this website because
you took the time stop by and leave a kind word or helpful donation. Once this hopefully
final surgery and recovery time period is over this site will be converted entirely into a
place for my wife to showcase her music and do with as she wishes.
Thanks for visiting!
~Matthew~
(Update April 21, 2008: I wanted to put a quick update on the site for all the new visitors and the one's checking back for news on my wife's surgery. The surgery went very well with only a few road bumps along the way. When the doctor had her back open on the operating table he noticed a bit more damage inside then the MRI's had previously shown. He ended up removing two of my wife's bulged discs and fusing three of her vertabrea together. She has six screws back there now and he also shaved some scar tissue off of the problematic nerves she had running down to each leg. She was only in the hospital one night and felt good enough the following morning to return home and start her recovery in her own bed. The first few days were very very hard for her and sometimes we thought the pain might be to much and she would have to return to the hospital. She toughed it out though and is now doing much better and can do a little more each day. She still has a long road to go until she will be able to live a normal life but she appreciates all the well wishes and cannot believe the huge showing of support for both her music and her recovery. I read off the kind messages you guys leave everyday and they never fail to make her smile. I personally want to thank everyone that has visited this site and hope you will come back again to hear the new music she is itching to make. Best Wishes to all of you, ~Matthew~)
(Update June 3, 2008: Grace had been doing very well but some problems have cropped up recently. Her back has been hurting very bad after last week Wed. and we are seeing the doctor tommorrow about it. Hopefully nothing serious will have happened and she just needs to heal some strain. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she needs them in this scarey time. Thanks! ~Matthew~)
(Update July 10, 2008: Grace is doing much much better now and thanks you all for your support. The doctor says she is healing faster then any other patient he has seen from this surgery. She is starting to figure out what on the site to change and how she can streamline it for her music and day to day life. Stay tuned for a lot of changes in the near future! Thanks! ~Matthew~)
